The Best Hotels In Whistler Village

Here are out picks for the best hotels in the Whistler Village, with the best access to the slopes, bars and restaurants:

$$$ – Pan Pacific Mountainside

Nestled amidst the majestic peaks of Whistler, the Pan Pacific Mountainside stands as a beacon of luxury and comfort for travelers seeking an unforgettable mountain retreat. Situated at the base of Whistler mountain, this premier hotel offers unparalleled access to the pristine slopes and exhilarating outdoor adventures that define the Whistler experience. Boasting ski-in/ski-out convenience, guests can effortlessly transition from the comfort of their accommodations to the breathtaking terrain, ensuring an unparalleled alpine adventure right at their doorstep

Whistler is actually home to two Pan Pacific Hotels – the Pan Pacific Mountainside and the Pan Pacific Village Centre. Both are within a couple of minutes walking distance to each other and provide central locations, however the Pan Pacific Mountainside gets our pick due to its location and view of the slopes. Situated right at the base of the Whistler Mountain, mountain facing rooms get great views of the Whistler Gondola & Excalibur Gondola as well as the ski run outs to the village. They also have a large heated pool and hot tub on the patio facing the mountain, making for excellent views for après ski or for watching the mountain bike park.

Most rooms feature full kitchens with an oven, stove, microwave, full fridges and cooking utensils plus free Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs with cable and complimentary ski valet storage. Available in studio, one or two bedrooms, these rooms are a little dated but still hold up very well.

Room prices can vary wildly based on time of year, but vary from CAD$200 to $1500.

Boasting some of the nicer and more modern rooms in the Whistler Village, the combination of the location and the renovated room feel modern and will contribute to your perfect Whistler stay.

While all rooms have mini-fridges and coffee machines, only some have microwaves and even fewer have kitchenettes. If this is important to you, you should look at booking a suite here, though there is higher costs for these rooms.

$ – Pangea Pod Hotel

Pangea Pod Hotel offers affordable rates and a central location, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers. It is the cheapest hotel in the Whistler Village for one main reason – it is essentially a nicer hostel.

The Pangea Pod Hotel’s name is somewhat misleading; its capsules resemble bunk beds, not the pod hotels in Japan

Despite this, it is centrally located and only a couple of minute walk to the gondola. Featuring ski & bike storage as well as a bar & restaurant with many board games, the Pangea Pod Hotel is great for those visiting on a budget. It is also the only hostel-like accommodation within the Whistler Village. Other hostels in Whistler are located further away requiring a bus, car or taxi ride to get to the Whistler Village or any of the gondolas.

Whilst this isn’t our first preference for accommodation in Whistler, it does the trick for anyone on a budget.
