Superbowl 2024: Where to Watch in Whistler – Discover the best Viewing Spots For the Big Game

The NFL season is almost over and you know what that means – it’s time for Superbowl LVIII! Looking for the best place to watch the Superbowl in Whistler? Keep reading below.

This year, the San Francisco 49ers will take on perennial champions the Kansas City Chiefs in what will be a fierce battle on February 11, live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The game will kick off at 3:30pm PST, which is the time zone of Vancouver and Whistler, meaning an afternoon of beers, wings and football.

If you’re visiting the party ski town of Whistler, BC you may want to hit the slopes in the morning for some ski laps to warm you up for the day, followed by some après and football in the afternoon. If you’re wondering what are the best places to catch the big game, we’ve got you covered. Here are out recommendations for watching Superbowl LVIII:

Tapley’s neighborhood pub

The first choice for many to watch the big game, or indeed any sporting event in town, Tapley’s Neighborhood Pub is the first place you should think of when you think of watching sport. With flatscreen TVs plastered all over the inside and outside of the pub, Tapley’s is for sure the best place to watch the game. With the sound on and the great atmosphere, cheer your team to victory with some of the cheaper drink prices in town and a staple of pub food to go with it all.

Note that Tapley’s will get to capacity for the game and will stop letting people in once they are full. They also do not take table reservations – it is generally walk in only. To ensure a table and the best spot we recommend getting there early. An hour or two before kick-off should be enough to get you in. Tables are also limited, and it will be standing room only once they fill up. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

longhorn saloon

The number one après bar in Whistler is another good spot to watch the game. Though they don’t have as many TVs as Tapley’s, The Longhorn Saloon still does provide a vantage point to see a TV from anywhere inside or out. They will also have DJs as part of the normal après vibe and plenty of atmosphere, as well as pub fare. For those just coming down off the ski mountain and looking for a place to watch the Superbowl, this is a great option.

Note there are generally cover charges for tables outside on busy days – avoid this by asking for one without cover or usually the tables inside.

brandy’s at the keg

A great indoor sports bar, Brandy’s is the casual sports pub component of The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, located in the Whistler Village Inn & Suites hotel building. With a huge projector screen in the middle plus multiple smaller flatscreen TVs around the bar, Brandy’s is an excellent place to watch any live sporting event.

Their usual happy hour runs until 6pm so you can get some cheap beer and food from their happy hour menu while watching the big game here. While it doesn’t usually fill up as quickly as the previous two on this list, it will still be expected to be mostly full by kick off time (3:30pm). Come a little early to avoid disappointment.

BREWHOUSE

Further down the village stroll, The Brewhouse is located next to the Olympic Rings at the Olympic Plaza. Boasting the largest restaurant in Whistler, The Brewhouse also has a pub/bar for walk in seating and casual drinks. With a large screen protector and four beers brewed on site, it is a great place to watch the Superbowl.

The pub at The Brewhouse also offers casual food and dining, such as pizzas, burgers and wings, making it a great location to watch any sporting event. Don’t expect a rowdy crowd like that at Tapley’s or Longhorn though – The Brewhouse will be a bit quieter, perfect for anyone looking for something a little tamer.

Roland’s Pub

Outside of the Whistler Village, your options for watching the Superbowl are a lot more limited. If you’re staying at or near Creekside, your main options are Roland’s Pub or Dusty’s at the base of the creekside gondola.

Roland’s is more of a local’s scene than Dusty’s, meaning cheaper food and drinks. An old-fashioned sports pub vibe, Roland’s has been serving customers in its original form since 1975, making it a staple of the Creekside area.

With sports memorabilia adorning the walls and a great pub menu to boot (try the beef dip!), it’s the best place in Creekside to watch the Superbowl on February 11th.

Check out their website & food menu here.

Final Tips

Many places in Whistler will be showing the Superbowl, however not all are created equal. Some, like the above list, offer great TVs, sound and great atmosphere in which to see the final. Others, such as Dubh Linn Gate, only have a couple of TVs in certain locations and likely will not play the sound. If you’re looking for somewhere to watch with fellow football lovers, start with this list – but don’t be afraid to branch off and explore other places if you dare!

Superbowl LVIII will kick-off from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at 3:30pm on February 11th (Whistler time), live on CBS in the USA and simulcast on TSN and CTV in Canada.
